Overview

Pokopanion is a companion app for Pokopia, built by an independent developer. Privacy is a core value of this app. Pokopanion does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information to external servers. This policy explains how your data is handled across the app and this website.

Your Data

Your data in Pokopanion — including discovery progress for Pokemon, Habitats, Items, and Recipes, your favorites, notes, and Pokemon location entries — is stored on your device. If you have iCloud enabled, this data is also synced across your devices via Apple's CloudKit (see below). Your data is never sent to the developer or any third party.

iCloud Sync

If you have iCloud enabled, Pokopanion uses Apple's CloudKit to sync your data across your Apple devices signed into the same iCloud account. The synced data includes your discovery progress, favorites, notes, and Pokemon location entries.

This data is stored in your personal iCloud account. The developer does not have access to your iCloud data. To delete your synced data, you can do so from within the app while signed into your iCloud account. iCloud data is managed by Apple and subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

In-App Purchases

Pokopanion uses RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases. RevenueCat processes your purchase transactions using anonymous identifiers — no personal information such as your name, email, or Apple ID is collected by RevenueCat or the developer. Your payment details are handled entirely by Apple and are never shared with RevenueCat or the developer.

Analytics

Pokopanion does not include any custom analytics or third-party tracking frameworks.

Apple may provide the developer with anonymized, aggregated analytics about app usage if you have opted in to share analytics with app developers in your device settings. This is managed entirely by Apple and can be disabled at any time under Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements. The developer has no way to identify individual users from this data.

Website Analytics

This website is hosted on Cloudflare, which provides built-in privacy-first analytics. These analytics are cookie-free and do not track individual visitors or collect personally identifiable information. You can learn more at Cloudflare Web Analytics.

Children's Privacy

Pokopanion does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The app does not require an account, does not collect personal data, and does not include advertising or third-party tracking. If you believe any data has been inadvertently collected from a child, please contact the developer so it can be addressed.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
